IIT JEE Advance 2017 Examination Eligibility Criteria JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is the all-Indian common engineering entrance examination conducted every year. Aspirants who qualify JEE main 2017 can appear for the JEE advanced 2017 examination. Approximately two lakhs students eligible for appearing in the JEE advanced examination. Aspirants who crack JEE advanced 2017 examination successfully able to join the undergraduate course in Engineering, Science, and Architecture at all IITs and ISM based on their AIR (All India Rank) in the examination. JEE Advance Eligibility Criteria 2017:
JEE advanced eligibility criteria 2017 inform JEE advanced candidates about the required qualifications such as qualifying age, exam, and other as mentioned by the examination committee. Performance of the JEE main 2017:
Candidates who qualify in the JEE main 2017 paper 1 is eligible for appearing in the JEE advanced 2017 examination. The percentage for different categories listed here.
- OBC – 27%
- SC – 15%
- ST – 7.5%
- Remaining 50.5% open for all the candidates
Within these four categories, three-percentage horizontal reservation is available for PWD candidates.
Aspirant should be born on or after 1 October 1992 for OBC and remaining categories. SC/ST/PWD candidates must be born on or after 1 October 1987.
Number of previous attempts
The aspirant can attempt JEE advanced examination two times as maximum and too also attempt in the consecutive years.
Appearance in the class 12th
Candidates who appeared for the 12th standard examination 2016 or 2017 are eligible for appearing the IEE advanced examination. Those are who appeared the 12th examination in 2015 or earlier not eligible for appearing this examination.
Admission at IITs/ISM
Aspirants appearing for JEE Advanced 2017 examination should not take admission or even accepted admission through paying the admission fee at any IIT or ISM in the past.
